Haven’t found anything on the web about this crash last night here on the Upper East Side. Our fav coffee shop on 86th Street and 2nd Avenue found itself the center of attention, as a taxi plowed into its front corner entrance.
Apparently, two cabs collided (the other sat totaled on 2nd Avenue) and one slammed into the diner.
Not sure if anyone was hurt. Assuming not as it’s not in the news. Fireman were attempting to dislodge the front of the taxi from the building when we passed by last night around 11:30P.
is this the coffee shop on the southeast corner of 86th and 2nd ave?
oh yea I see the 2nd ave subway work in the background. what's the damage? I used to spend hours there, writing and chatting with the counter waitresses. Never fails, depending on how long one lives in the city, something or someone you know gets hit by a taxi.
