  • Skippy has a four piece series – God Told Me To Hate You – that I’ve been following and gratefully, Avedon at Sideshow has linked to in its entirety. The hijacking of Christian values is also addressed in Dan Wakefield’s article Taking Back the Faith.
  • Avedon also has a good roundup of reactions to (and cogent and intelligent analysis of) the WaPo hit job on Mary Scott O of My Left Wing, which left me rather stupified as to its blatant agenda… The ol’ anger issue… I’ll expound on that a bit more very soon… (For those who think I only read Sideshow for the Bra of the Week… not true!) So, get thee over to MLW and read what Mary Scott and others have to say… here for starters.
  • Beatles for sale? Seems Michael Jackson is selling the ATV catalog he owns. Here’s hoping the Fabs get it back. It would be a shame if Jackson decided to sell off groups of songs at rock bottom prices for ad and other use, in order to raise needed cash. So far, most of the catalogue has been spared being turned into a jingle selling tampons or dishsoap or that new sporty automobile that you just gotta have now.
  • David Bowie interviews Secret Machines for the UK Times. (Podcast is here for those who want to listen and not read.) Finding that there are quite a few bands emgerging that are pretty stellar. (See the post directly below for a sample of a few current favs.)
  • Corporations paying news outlets to peddle PR as news reports? It continues unabated it would appear, even though it is quite illegal. Lodge a complaint with the FCC.
