It's an endless loop of comments where everyone involved pats each other on the back for beating up on people they don't agree with, and worsse. And, as I note, it occurs on the left as well. So, really it's not hyperbole. It's a fact. It's an observation. And, it is an important point to recongize in order to not get involved in the emtionalism of it all. I know. I have done it plenty myself.<br/><br/>Anyway, I do understand what you are saying. And, part of my focus on this blog is to deal with what I see as elements of the S.N.A.F.U. Principle, which is very prevailant on LGF, as well as maintain a more unpartisan perspective.<br/><br/>And, in the end, even the assholes at LGF are part of our society. My own involvment there as a commenter is simply a way of understanding. And, it has been immensely educational and interesting and revealing. There are some nice people there who are very angry. There are some who are just not very smart. The overall feeling I always get is that they are very very angry. Period. And, frustrated. So, far from giving them ammunition, it's just observation.<br/><br/>NOthing is written in wtone. And, actually, it never really occurred to me that anyone was a "dick" for anything they say. I enjoy your posts but haven't enjoyed the neck for a long time. I get a bad vibe there.<br/><br/>I spoke with Dan just before he made Aliyah and he said that the neck was definitely dead. So there's no point to even going there, IMO.<br/><br/>As far as this post goes, I think this guy is a dick for saying what he did but I can't readily accept generalizations like that because I think that it obligates me to paint broad strokes about bi-partisans in general, and everyone else within shooting range, not just the right wing. There's more importnat things to do than to give assholes more ammunition. Generalizations piss me off and tend to get people no where in terms of coming to some sort of logical conclusion, hence the circle jerk/hyperbole.<br/><br/>Add to that; I also think such senseless debate lowers the level of dialogue to the gutter, like what sex and the city did for womens lib, it takes independence and whores it out for ratings. It truly is like dealing with irrational children and it's a waste of time. These are guys in charge and they're playing their game. I’m glad ur posting on here.
